Upper Deck and the MLB pair up to start the
Rookie Card of the Month program. Redeem those wrappers!
Babe Ruth rookie card sells for $200,000. It was just one of the items
sold in a record breaking multi-owner all-consignment baseball card and
memorabilia auction for a total of $8.7 million in sales.

Greg Oden signed a three-year contract worth at least $3 million Tuesday
with the Topps Company.
He'll be
feature on a basketball card this August with Bill Russell in
celebration of 50 years since Topps created it's first basketball card set.

Premier Postage announced the introduction of limited edition, commemorative
customized postage sheets of
newly elected baseball Hall
of Famers Cal Ripken Jr. and Tony Gwynn.

donate his game-used items to the Baseball Hall of Fame? The Hall
already has some items from his earlier playing days, but question remain about
any additional donations by the slugger.
All time save leader Trevor Hoffman knows he's working on some
special sports memorabilia. He carefully has his post victory game-used
items archived.

Baseball Hall of Fame. During the tour he's allowed to hold
Babe Ruth's game used bat and Lou Gehrig's glove.

Sotheby’s and SCP Auctions
have up for auction the
sports memorabilia collections of three major estates this June 5th.
There are some 350 lots of items expected to fetch 3 to 4.5 million.

Some sport card shop owners are concerned about rising gas prices and
postal rates impacting their bottom line, others don't think it will matter.

Kevin Durant first rookie card will appear in Fleer Ultra SE and Upper
Deck's First Edition Basketball. His first autographed card will be included in
Upper Deck SP Game Used Basketball.
The probably first round pick has signed an exclusive contract with Upper
Deck.
* Wi-Fi TV auctions of
licensed sports items
will be offered by
collectible
concepts in the near future.
The company also plans
on using Wi-FiParty technology where Internet users can see and hear each
other as well as chat by text.

If you have a sports card valued over $1,000, Beckett will sell it for you
for 20% plus ebay fees. These are called Beckett Select Auctions.
It's an interesting idea since having the Beckett reputation backing up your
auction could really help you get maximum value for your card.

with NFL jersey shield, two jersey pieces with patch and an on-card
autograph!
