* A Baseball signed by
Joe DiMaggio, Marilyn Monroe and Mickey Mantle
is being auctioned by

* Have you visited the Topps Sikids game site
lately? They've developed a decent selection of
sports card related online games. They're still
working on the online pack wars, we played it and found
it a bit confusing in it's current beta version, but
worth checking out. We also checked out the live
box break of
Topps Full Court basketball and Topps Chrome basketball,
they're definitely trying to put together some
enthusiasm filled breaks. Nice video editing! However,
it would be nice to see some of the actually
opening of the packs instead of just the results. For
better quality viewing let the video download before you
try to play it.
* There's been a serious flurry of ebay action on
the 2007 Topps Jeter #40 card today since the card made
national news. This is the card that features
President Bush in the stadium and Mickey Mantle in the
dugout. The Red Back version of the card has been
pulling in anywhere from $60 to $250 on the buy it now
option! You can see some

value of unopened product is going up.
* An update on the
Derek Jeter baseball card #40. As we pointed out
last week, the card also features George bush in
the stands and Mickey Mantle in the dugout, kind
of an odd card right? Turns out this card was the
result of an artist at Topps having some fun and it
accidentally made it into the final print run.
These cards are also available in the gold-bordered
parallels.

cards often, and I will see a certain card — let’s say a
1957 Willie Mays — and I’ll remember the day I got that
card and how happy I was. “In a way, my baseball cards
let me hang onto the past. It’s about memories, and you
can’t replace a memory.” Read his story

added opportunity for an enhanced value down the road is
just another benefit."
